Booking Process
Curious about our housesitting process? Here's a glimpse into how to book with us:
Step 1. Reach out
First, review our site and see that we align with your needs. Check our calendar to ensure we are not already booked. Send us an inquiry with your dates, location, and a bit about your pets and home.
Step 2: Let's Connect!
We love having a video chat beforehand! It's like a virtual meet-and-greet to ensure we're a perfect match for your home and pets. It gives us both a chance to clarify any questions and expectations.
Step 3: Confirmation
Once we agree on dates, please review our policies so we're on the same page. We're all about transparent expectations! We'll then make travel arrangements to reach your doorstep.
Step 4: Getting to Know You
You'll receive some forms to fill out – sharing the ins and outs of your home and your pets' personalities & routines. We want to ensure your pets' routines are strictly maintained. Additionally, we will ask for some information about home maintenance.
Step 5: Let's Meet in Person
Upon arrival, we prefer to meet homeowners, get a tour, and dive into your pets' daily routines. Building trust with them while you're present does help in the transition. That being said, we have done housesits without having met the owners in person beforehand. We are comfortable with that as long as you are. In that case, we ask for very detailed instructions on your pets' routines and home maintenance so that we don't have to ping you asking where you keep the kibble while you're trying to enjoy your vacation! In the past, homeowners have sent us videos showing how much to feed, where supplies are kept, plant-watering instructions, and the like, etc.
Step 6: Handover
Once we get the keys and are shown around, feel free to enjoy your vacation or last minute packing preparation with confidence that your pets and home are in good hands. We will agree upon a communication method (usually, WhatsApp) where we can send updates to your preference (daily/weekly). We also ask that you are available in case of an emergency, though we try not to bother you on your vacation.
Step 7: Return home
We make sure the home looks exactly how you left it or even better. Most homeowners prefer to meet us at home for debriefing. We also like to have a buffer day just in case you experience travel delays so the pets aren't left alone. Contrarily, some homeowners prefer to come back to an empty home so you can just relax and settle in alone after long travels. We understand and are flexible either way!
Step 8: A Positive Review?
After you have had some time to settle and check everything in your home is okay, we would appreciate if you would leave us a reference. Thank you!
Step 9: Catch Up
Even if quite some time has passed since our housesit, we're always happy to receive a random update or current photo of your pets. We know that often times, other people don't really care to see photos of our own pets like we do, don't they? So please, feel free. In all likelihood, we enjoyed our time with your pets very much. We still talk about many, if not all, of the dogs and cats we've sat for from time to time.
We're also happy to come back again if our schedules should align. Reach out any time.

"This was our first housesitting experience so I was uneasy initially and did not know what to expect. Adam and Lianne gave us some peace of mind while we were gone. They were great. They took really good care of our pups. We were in constant contact with them via email and they offered to do a video link up to see the pups. Adam and Lianne are a great couple and put our minds to ease. I think our dogs miss them. Feel free to contact me as a reference either by phone or email. Thanks again guys! I hope you enjoy Australia!" - Rob
