We are a responsible and friendly couple who have lived in many homes around the world. Here are some services we can offer: |
Pet Care
Pets are part of the family! We will make sure that your pet is loved, fed, walked, cleaned and happy. We can also bring your pets to vet visits if necessary. Adam has an affinity for dogs and Lianne for cats, but we love all kinds of animals. And frankly, they like us too. In northern Thailand, we volunteered with Care For Dogs, playing with dozens of dogs every day and going on multiple walks with up to 6 dogs at a time. We have experience caring for puppies, elderly, anxious, reactive, and very large dogs - quite the spectrum! In addition to dogs and cats, we have experience taking care of chickens, rabbits, reptiles, and birds.
We go above and beyond with communication. If you would like, we can create a shared document filled with daily notes and photos so you can check on your own time or a group WhatsApp / Signal chat. We are also more than happy to video chat so you can see your pets in real-time.

Home Care
Come back to the same home as you left it. We will do general cleaning and upkeep (as per the owner's instructions), adhere to scheduled trash and recycling days. After living for three years fetching all of our water from a stream and sourcing electricity from the sun, we have become extra conscious and conservative with our electricity and water use.
Did we mention that we really like to clean up neighborhoods? Check out the anti-litter project we co-founded in Korea, #CleanGwangju.
If you have any projects that you have been meaning to get to, perhaps we can help you with the kick you needed to get started or maybe even take it on for you! In the past, we've painted rooms, organized furniture to maximize space efficiency, did some basic home renovation work, helped sell people's unwanted goods, and various other odds and ends as HelpX volunteers.

Garden Care
We can water your plants and do simple garden maintenance. We have experience volunteering on organic farms in Thailand and Australia as well as having worked as agriculture extension agents in rural Zambia. Wouldn't it be nice to come back to a weed-free and freshly mowed lawn?
Security
We will keep your property and personal belongings safe from burglars. An empty house is a susceptible one. Have peace of mind when you're away.
Maintenance
Enjoy your holiday with peace of mind that your home is looked after and your appliances don't leak your finances. For example, at a previous housesit, Adam discovered the toilet had been dispensing water constantly while unused. He quickly performed some light maintenance on the water tank and fixed the drip. We are very environmentally-conscious when it comes to energy and water-usage.

We had the pleasure of having Adam and Lianne in our home for 10 weeks, caring for our property and 12 & 14 yrs young dogs.
